Many thanks for Mark Ormesher for his sterling work in supplying and fitting a new door in the clubhouse on Saturday, particularly as this involved working outside in some nasty weather conditions. Continued thanks also to Noel Browne and Kevin McGuire for their great work in maintaining the garden and hedge.
Steward search
We have made good progress in our search for a new steward. We are currently conducting interviews with two applicants who have lots of good experience and hope to have good news to report soon. Our continued thanks for your patience while this search has been ongoing, and also to the members who have generously given their time to help in the bar and kitchen during this period.
Upcoming competitions
The next 'major' competition is the St David's Cup, being played over the weekend of 3 and 4 March. This is an individual medal, first competed for in 1956. The reigning champion is Barry Westrip, who triumphed last year with a fantastic net round of 63.
