On 17 May, we celebrated one of the highlights of London Scottish’s calendar. Our annual Club Supper and the much-anticipated Captain’s Drive-In.
Our newly appointed Captain, Charlie Matthews, stepped up to the first tee and hit his inaugural drive in style! In true tradition, the challenge was on, catch the Captain’s ball, and you walk away with a bottle of fine whisky.
Cheers, laughter, and a great sense of community filled the evening, making it one to remember!
LSGC were proud to feature during NBC’s British Open coverage on the Golf Channel. They created a short film about the history of golf on Wimbledon Common and were extremely interested in the tradition of wearing pillar box red shirts when playing golf!
Thank you to the members who took part in the film, providing the viewers with interesting anecdotes and information about the third oldest golf club in England! We have received a great response from golf fans in the US and can’t wait to welcome them at the club on their future travels across the pond.
