London Scottish Golf Club signs England Golf’s Women in Golf Charter
London Scottish Golf Club is proud to announce that it has become an official signatory of England Golf’s Women in Golf Charter, reinforcing the Club’s commitment to creating a more inclusive, welcoming and progressive environment for women and girls in golf.
The Women in Golf Charter aims to encourage women, girls and families to enjoy golf, whether through playing, volunteering or working within the sport. By signing the charter, London Scottish recognises the need for a positive cultural shift and the importance of ensuring women can flourish at every level of the game. Alongside the clear ethical case for change, the Club also acknowledges the significant opportunity to grow the sport by increasing female participation.
Our commitments as part of the charter are:
Ensuring all women feel welcome at the Club, regardless of playing ability
Working towards a minimum of 10% female representation on the Club Committee
Increasing female participation and membership
Delivering at least two initiatives designed to encourage women to try golf
Encouraging greater participation by women in club competitions
Appointing a dedicated Charter Champion to promote and report on progress
Continuing to meet England Golf’s terms of affiliation
This milestone reflects London Scottish Golf Club’s ongoing ambition to be an inclusive community where everyone can enjoy the game of golf in a supportive and inspiring setting.
