Spring Maintenance

Spring Maintenance Sets the Course Up for the Season Ahead

Last week, the course at London Scottish Golf Club was closed briefly to allow our dedicated greenkeeping team the time and space to carry out essential spring maintenance.

Led by Ian Jennings, the team undertook key work to ensure the course is in top condition for the season ahead. This included verti-draining and fertilising the greens, vital processes that improve drainage, promote healthy growth and help deliver the smooth, consistent surfaces our members enjoy year-round.

It wasn’t just the greenkeepers hard at work. In a fantastic show of community spirit, volunteers from both clubs on Wimbledon Common came together to repair areas of the course, filling in holes created by wildlife and helping to protect the playing surfaces.

This joint effort highlights what makes the Common so special, a shared commitment to maintaining the course in the best possible condition for everyone who plays here.

A sincere thank you to Ian, his team and all the volunteers who gave their time and effort. Thanks to you, the course is in great shape and ready for the season ahead.
