At least the birds enjoy the result of the rain
Unfortunately, even the hardiest golfers know when it's time to stay indoors.
London Scottish Golf Club will be closed 23 June due to the overnight storm and 24 - 26 June due to the Red Weather Warning
While we know many of you would happily brave the elements for a round, there comes a point where even the most committed golfer has to admit defeat.
Standing water on the course, strong sun, humidity and high temperatures are hazards that no amount of course management can overcome.
The decision to close the course has not been taken lightly, but the safety of everyone at the Club must always come first.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. We know it is disappointing to lose a couple of days of golf, but we would much rather see everyone back on the fairways safely once the temperature has gone down a bit and the course has dried up.
We look forward to welcoming members and visitors back on Saturday 27 June.
Until then, stay out of the sun with a beverage in hand and perhaps take the opportunity to practise that putting stroke indoors.
We will provide further updates should conditions change.
